Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at Entebbe International airport: Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport on day of 8 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will be transferred by Lobelias safaris driver to your reserved lodge in Entebbe or proceed to Murchison falls national Park. If you arrive early you will enjoy lunch at the lodge where you will also spend a relaxed evening or else, opt to spend your evening at the beach on Lake Victoria and spend an overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer to Murchison falls national park: This is your day 2 of 8 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari. After breakfast your driver will be ready to pick you up from your lodge in Entebbe and embark on a journey to Murchison falls national park with a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary situated in masindi district. Here you will spend 1-2 hours trekking the white rhinos in their protected area. While trekking the white rhinos, you will spot other wildlife that reside in these sanctuary including mammals, birds and different flora species. After trekking rhinos, you will enjoy an enroute lunch in masindi and be driven direct to Murchison falls national park via top of falls to witness the cool breathe downstream from the waterfall. Proceed to check in at the lodge for dinner and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Game drive: A game drive in Murchison falls national park opens door for you to encounter with the wildlife in their natural habitats. When you are done with breakfast on day 3 of 8 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will meet your safari drive to take you on a game drive amidst wildlife. Amongst the wildlife you will spot include mammals such as Elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, Leopards which are usually seen shying away and rushing to get a hideout. You will spot some primate species such as baboon, lots of bird species including king fisher, goliath heron etc. after the game drive, you will be transferred back to the lodge for lunch.

Afternoon boat cruise: after enjoying your lunch on day 3 of 8 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will then be driven by your driver to paraa while a boat sets off at 2:00pm therefore ensure that you arrive at the starting point in time in order to be part of the fascinating exploration while sailing on top of fresh water while glancing at the wildlife in water and at the shore including crocodiles, hippos and lots of other mammals and water birds. Once the boat arrives at the base of the water fall, those intending to hike up the fall get off and then the boat return to the shore where you will meet with your driver whichever way you go to be returned to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Transfer to Kibale forest national park: day 4 of 8 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari is set apart for a drive from Murchison to kibale which will take you about 10 hours of road drive therefore, after a relaxed breakfast you will check out of the lodge and be picked up by your driver to drive via the top of falls as you EXIT this magnificent national park and embark on a ride to Kibale forest national park, a park dominated by 13 species of primates. Being a driving day, lunch will be consumed along the way and continue with the journey arriving late in the evening for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and guided bigodi walk

Chimpanzee trekking in kibale forest: Chimpanzee trekking is used to be a full day activity until travelers started to accomplish in a half day between 2-7 hours in regards to the movement of chimpanzees and the fitness level of the trekkers. After morning breakfast at the lodge on day 5 of 8 days Murchison falls, Kibale and semliki safari, you will be driven by the driver to the park headquarters where you will meet with other trekker for a briefing and later on hire a porter before embarking on a search for chimpanzees in kibale forest. While in the forest you will be able to view other primates in the same forest where chimpanzee reside. Amongst primates you will encounter include Monkeys such as Red tailed monkeys, Baboon etc. once you land on chimpanzees, you will spend just an hour taking photographs and interacting with the chimpanzees since they are used to human presence. Guided bigodi nature walk: In the late afternoon, you will be guided by the local tour guides in the wetlands of bigodi which is as sanctuary set apart to protect the several species of fauna and flora including primates, mammals, species of birds, and different species of botanical plants. After spending at least 2 hours of a walk in the wetland, you will return to the lodge for dinner and rest from a tiring day.

Day 6: Visit to the Crater Lakes and transfer to Semliki national park

Visit crater lakes: On day 6 of 8 days Murchison, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will arise from your comfort zone at the lodge for breakfast and later on be transferred to visit the crater lakes which are easily visited by foot. You will be able to spot a lot of fauna and flora species along the shores of these small crater lakes and later return to the lodge for lunch, Freshen up and be transferred to Semliki national park at which is about 4 hours’ drive thus you will arrive in the evening. Relax at the lodge as you await dinner and goodnight sleep. However, on this day 6 of 8 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari, you may opt to have a guided afternoon nature walk with the use of a guide and armed ranger to spot some wildlife and later on return to the lodge for overnight and your day safari will be done.

Day 7: Visit to sempaya Hot springs and boat cruise

Nature walks to visit the sempaya hot springs and boat cruise: On day 7 of 8 days Murchison falls, Kibale, after breakfast, you will be set for a nature walk towards sempaya hot spring where you will be in position to have a glance at the hot spring that gushes out water through an 8m whole and boiling at about 100oC. Test this water by dropping in a raw egg or a raw green banana and in a few minutes it will be very ready for consumption. Later on, you will be driven to Kampala for a brief city tour before being transferred to Entebbe International airport departures to the next destination.
