Your 8 Days Uganda Classic Safari Itinerary
Day 1 : Airport pickup and Hotel Transfer
On this first day of your 8 Days Uganda Classic Safari, you will be received by Lobelias safaris upon arrival at Entebbe airport and transferred to the hotel in Kampala for overnight stay at Admis hotel or 2 friends beache hotel at the shores of lake Victoria.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Have an early breakfast and then head to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, 180 km from Kampala. This sanctuary was started in 2005 as a project by the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the Rhino Fund project as an initiative to build a sustainable rhinoceros population and relocate rhinos back to their original habitat in Uganda’s protected areas. Here you will have a wonderful experience tracking the southern white rhinos.
You will have Lunch in Masindi town and after that proceed to Murchison Falls National Park arriving late afternoon. Overnight: Fort Murchison Lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast on this third day of your 8 Days Uganda Classic Safari, you will head for a game drive on the northern sector of the park. Watch out for the Albert endemic birds and Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, elephants and if you’re lucky lions and leopards. You will have lunch then take wonderful boat cruise to the bottom part of the Murchison Falls where you will see how the Nile marvelously squeezes its way through a 7 meter wide gorge. You will get out of the boat and conduct a guided nature walk to the top of the falls where you will find your driver waiting to transfer you back to the Lodge. Overnight: Fort Murchison Lodge. Day 4: Murchison falls to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast on this fourth day of your 8 Days Uganda Classic Tour, you will set off to Kibale Forest National Park found in Fort Portal City a town at the south-western side of Uganda. Kibale Forest Park bares homage to a total of 70 mammal species, most famously 13 species of primate including the Chimpanzees and also contains over 375 species of birds. This day will be a long driving day of 8-9 hours; we will have numerous stops to stretch your legs. Overnight: Crater safari lodge/Chimpanzee forest guest house. Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 5: Chimp Tracking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After the tracking chimpanzees on this fifth day of your 8 Days Uganda Classic Safari, you will depart Kibale National Park, towards Queen Elizabeth National Park that lies 1978sq km west of Uganda. It harbors a diverse eco-system which are, a lovely savanna, fertile wetlands making it home for the big game, 10 primate species and a large number of bird species. You proceed for game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park .After the game drive you will check in at Ihamba lodge/ Buffalo safari lodge for the night. Overnight: Buffalo safari Lodge.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi
On day 6 of this 8 Days Uganda Classic Tour, you will have an early breakfast you will head for the beautiful Special boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. The channel is 40 wide and offers beautiful scenery of hundreds of hippos along the banks as well as different bird species seen when cruising west towards Lake Edward. After boat cruise, you back to the lodge for checking out or if you had it in the morning, then proceed to southwards to the Ishasha sector of the park which is a home for tree climbing lions. Towards your destination, you will have a pleasant view of the Uganda kob, elephants and some birds of riverine and savanna habitats. Proceed to Bwindi arriving late afternoon. Overnight: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge. Meal Plan: FB.
Day 7: Gorilla trekking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This is apparently the best day of your 8 Days Uganda Tour. You are warming up for a thrilling mountain gorilla tracking moment. You will drive further south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is of Uganda´s oldest and most diverse rain forests. The “impenetrable” forest is also home to more than 320 mountain gorillas, 400 species of plants, 120 species of mammals and over 350 species of birds.
Today you will be gorilla tracking. Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing is at 8 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from one to seven hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away. A packed lunch will be provided. Overnight: Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge. Meal Plan: FB.
Day 8: Return to Kampala
After breakfast on this eight day of your 8 days Uganda safari, you embark on your journey back to Kampala which lasts for about 7 to 9 hours. You will enjoy lunch enroute in Mbarara town, spend a few hours at the Equator and proceed to Kampala arriving in the afternoon. Proceed to your lodge in Kampala or Entebbe airport for your onward flight
